Hey, what happened to me making a road trip and all of us hanging out? Other than the fact that my car isn't big enough and I don't have a passport to get in to Canada...? Guys, we can do this...for real.

I don't think my car is big enough either..... However I do have a passport so.... Adventures! It'd be quite the hike... But I'd actually venture into America further than Chicago/states like North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin...... Again might take a couple years but it would be interesting to say the least! Where did our little chat box thing go? It was so handy!

I don't actually know! I am trying to figure out this new proboards set up. It is ridiculous! It makes me feel old and out of loop. I will have to investigate more later seeing as I have to be at work in half an hour.
Yeah girl. I'm living in Massachusetts now, so I'm even further from the Canadian border. Before it was a twenty minute drive in to Canada. (Forty in to Quebec.) I'd like to road trip though. It'd be awesome! I've been wanting to venture out for a while.
EDIT: GOT A CBOX AGAIN. WOOOP

Cbox!!! That's what it's called! Oh dear, yeah it's been too long. I could barely remember how to change text colours. And really?? I never even realized you moved! I mean I guess I kind of did too but I still live in Manitoba so close enough! It'll be quite a drive, I know from my house to Toronto it's about 24hrs of driving... Wooooo! Haha

Yeah I moved about three years ago when I was barely eighteen. After I dropped off of the earth here I kinda went through a really dark period of my life, which is what brought me to Massachusetts. I'm doing much better now though! I still haven't gone to college yet, but I'm working on it. I live about ten minutes from Boston. Best to do it next summer. I'm currently trying to sell some of my clothes to get money and I just had to pay a ton of money to the gov't.

Boston! I know that place! Maybe it'd be more practical if we all drove someplace in the middle.... which given (if I remember correctly) where we live that probably brings us to the middle-of-nowhere US. Oh well!!! It'll be a party. I'm just finishing up my first year university which I guess is nice but it's year 1 out of 5... that's the part that sucks! Hahaha! Yeah that's gross, I'm hoping to get some good money from my tax returns hopefully in the next month or so. I leave for two weeks in Toronto in early May and I might be going to Oslo if I get accepted into a week-long program there! I'm pretty excited....

That'd be cool! haha. and congrats! I hope you get to do that. Sounds very exciting! What are you in school for? I saw via instagram that you were at Brandon University? I owed taxes this year, so hopefully next will be better. Every time I save money something always comes up and it's all gone again.

First year is general music, but next year I'll be specializing in elementary music education! Exciting stuff. Anything that involves making music aka ensembles is awesome but the stuff like music theory is tedious and annoying! Hahaha! And oh my, I feel ya. Like you mentioned about selling things, I've been thinking of doing stuff like that. I'm learning to make bassoon reeds so hopefully I will get good enough at them sooner rather than later to actually sell them! That'd make some nice money... Sigh... maybe one day! Hahaha

I live for the struggle! It doesn't help that I live out of state and near a city. It's so expensive out here, but I get by. My boyfriend and I work as a team. I'm really happy for you! It sounds like you're really following your passions! That's great! How do you make bassoon reeds? Is it very hard?

Oh dear, I can imagine. Brandon is a pretty small city with cheap rent so it's a bonus! It's great that you have someone you can share/work with! And thanks! If it was up to me I'd be going into performance but it's not really practical for jobs and such. It's hard in the sense that it's very precise but once you get a hang of it it's not too too bad, it also just takes a long time. You gotta let them soak in warm water, do a couple things, let it dry for 24hrs, do a couple more things and let it rest for 24 more hours and etc. Starting out I could sell them for around $15, but the ones I buy from a professional cost $28 so they could make a pretty penny... Any plans on what you would like to do for college? From my observations, it seems a lot of Americans go away for school, almost like if you don't go away it's a big major surprise! Total opposite where I'm from (I won't speak for all of Canada), pretty well all the people from my high school went to school locally unless they got free ride/close to it scholarships for other universities. Strange!

Yeah, it some times depends on scholarships and such, but mostly kids go out of state or as far away in-state as possible. haha. It depends if people can afford it or not. Not many kids from my high school class went to out of state schools, which is probably because my hometown is relatively poor. Thankfully we have Montreal nearby or else we wouldn't be doing much business ironically. I haven't really been sure what I want to do, but I think I'm going to go to school in the fall for creative writing. I know there isn't any money in it, but it's something to get me started. I think my parents are finally relieved that I've actually decided to go to school, so they didn't mind. I haven't checked out any schools yet, but I will be staying in MA. Hopefully somewhere close to where I'm living.

Oh, interesting! Same goes for us, which is why I always found it so weird when I would see everyone moving everywhere! Hm! And it's something! A start in creative writing could go in a lot of different places; my sister is finishing a linguistics degree at university because she enjoys it, and plans on going somewhere else for something else (though I'm not sure what, though I'm pretty sure it's unrelated). Boston sounds like a fun place for school.... Better than lil old Brandon, MB! Hahahaha! Nah, Brandon is alright. Close to home, good program, that's what matters.

Exactly, that's all that matters. The schools in Boston are great. We have some of the best here like Harvard and Northeastern, but they're all super expensive schools. I was thinking of vet technician at one point and there is a school close by for it called Mount Ida, but it's super expensive. I might stick to a community college, but again, I haven't really looked in to what schools offer what exactly. As long as the programs are good. I'm a bit excited to get back in to school. I'm just really worried about how stressed I might be and just what the whole atmosphere is like. I have really bad anxiety, especially in the public and places I am unfamiliar with. I was enrolled in a community college when I got here, but never followed through because I would freak out at the thought of leaving my apartment. It's awful.

I never realized Harvard was in Boston! Interesting! I know all the ivy league schools are in that area but that's as far as I get! And once you get in the swing of things aka routine I think it's fine, but I never really had issues with anxiety. I mean I would get nervous but nothing to that extreme, I'm really sorry to hear you had to deal with that. It never hurts (I think) to take a year or two just to try out a bunch of things. If being a vet tech is something you're interested in (even if it is super expensive), sit on it for awhile, take some biology courses (If that's how college works, I'm not 100% sure), maybe call around. When considering going into elementary education I talked to my elementary music teacher (It definitely started with "I don't know if you remember me but..." hahaha) to discuss what it's like. Even via email might work, just to get a better idea on what the job is really like! I know in Manitoba we do have a vet tech program but it is so high demand that there's (last I heard) a 2+ year waiting list and it's only open to Manitoba residents! Crazy busy in there!

Oh my goodness! That's nuts! I loves animals, I just don't know if I could withstand being there when they die or having terminal cases come in. It breaks my heart. I'd like to work with animals, but doing what, I don't know. A coworker of mine is going to teach me how to do reiki with animals and such. I thought it would be something nice to know and understand. And it's okay! I'm learning how to deal with my anxiety. It is very tough and my boyfriend doesn't always understand why I can't go do things on my own, but we're working on it. I'm working on it. I take medication for it as needed, and I'm not a junkie with it so it works. I just have to keep up with all my medications or I'm really off my rocks. But I agree, once I get used to it and comfortable it will be a lot easier. I just need to get over that one little bump in the road. Also driving around here is a nightmare!! Worst driving ever!! Massachusetts has some very aggressive drivers, so anything close by would be the most convenient.
